Public Transport (Metro and Tram)

We are located just a few meters from the Malostranské náměstí tram stop (tram number 12, 20, and 22). The nearest metro station is Malostranská (Line A). From there, take tram no. 12, 20, or 22 just one stop to Malostranské náměstí.

Alternatively, you can walk from Malostranská metro station — it’s about a 12-minute walk. Follow the tram tracks along Letenská Street, or take the parallel route via Valdštejnská Street, both leading to Malostranské náměstí.

On Foot

If you’re strolling through the center of Prague, you can easily reach us on foot and make your visit to our museum a pleasant stop on your walk between the banks of the Vltava River. From the Old Town side of Charles Bridge, it’s about a 7-minute walk. Simply cross the bridge and continue along Mostecká Street, which leads directly to Malostranské náměstí, right in front of our museum.

Karluv Most

Alternatively, if you’ve just visited Prague Castle, walk down Nerudova Street or the Castle Stairs (Zámecké schody), and you’ll reach our museum in about 15 minutes.

By Car

Ride hailing apps such as Uber or Bolt, or taxis, may prove easier, as the narrow streets and limited parking in Prague’s historic center can be a challenge. While there are a few parking spots directly on Malostranské náměstí, right next to the museum, a more reliable option is to park at the Nový Smíchov shopping center, which is about a 10-minute walk or a few tram stops from us.

By Bike

The museum is easily accessible by bike. Karmelitská Street and the surrounding areas are cyclist-friendly. The nearest bike paths lead across the Vltava River or from Petřín Hill. You can lock your bike at the racks located on Malostranské náměstí.
