GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION OF TERMS
Mozart Interactive Museum, s. r. o. (hereinafter referred to as MIM), Company ID: 212 99 188, registered at Karmelitská 267/33, Malá Strana, 118 00 Prague 1, entered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, Insert 399728, is the company responsible for the management and operation of the museum as well as for the operation of the e-shop.
Museum Premises: located at Karmelitská 267/33, 118 00 Prague 1 – Malá Strana.
Visitor: anyone entering the Museum Premises to visit the exhibition or participate in an event.
Consumer: anyone who uses or visits the website mozartmuseum.cz, its subdomains, and other online applications, ticketing platform, e-shop, souvenir shop, or the MIM application.
Museum Employees: persons who are authorized to act on behalf of the museum or are officially designated as employees.
MUSEUM PREMISES:
2.1 TICKETS
Article 2.1.1
MIM publishes ticket prices on its website, at the entrance to the Museum Premises, and through direct communication. The prices published are subject to change. MIM cannot be held responsible for (incorrect) ticket price information published by third parties.
Article 2.1.2
Tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the Museum Premises, on the museum’s website via the Colosseum Ticket application, or from one of the museum’s licensed ticket vendors.
Article 2.1.3
Visitors are entitled to discounted admission if they meet the relevant conditions. Museum employees are authorized to request identification from the Visitor in order to apply the discount. If the Visitor is unable to present identification or the identification is invalid, the regular admission price will be charged. The Visitor may also present another document proving eligibility for a discount (e.g. Student’s Card, Teacher’s Card).
Article 2.1.4
A Visitor who has purchased a ticket is not entitled to a refund or any other compensation in the event of loss or theft of the ticket. Purchased tickets are non-exchangeable.
2.2 OPENING HOURS
Article 2.2.1
MIM publishes its opening hours on its website, at the entrance to the Museum Premises, and through direct communication. The museum reserves the right to change previously published opening hours without Visitors being entitled to a refund or any other compensation. The museum cannot be held responsible for (incorrect) publication of opening hours by third parties.
Article 2.2.2
Parts of the Museum Premises may be closed to visitors on certain occasions. If the closed area represents a minor part of the Museum Premises, Visitors are not entitled to a refund or any other compensation. If a substantial part of the Museum Premises is closed to visitors, MIM will publish this information on its website and at the entrance to the museum. In such cases, Visitors will be charged a reduced admission fee or offered another form of compensation.
2.3 VISITOR RULES
Article 2.3.1
Visitors must behave within the Museum Premises in accordance with the law, rules of common decency, and these Terms and Conditions, and must always follow the instructions of Museum Employees. Failure to do so may result in the Visitor being denied entry without any right to a refund or compensation for incurred costs. In the case of inappropriate behavior within the museum, Museum Employees may ask Visitors to leave the premises immediately without a refund.
Article 2.3.2
Parents or (educational) supervisors are responsible for the behavior of minors.
Article 2.3.3
MIM does not offer storage for strollers, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids. MIM is not liable for damage to, loss, or theft of items parked or left by Visitors in this manner.
Article 2.3.4
Visitors may enter the Museum Premises with a small backpack or handbag only if the item is carried in hand or worn on the front of the body. Larger bags must be stored in designated areas near the reception. Museum Employees may refuse to store luggage. The museum is not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of items left by Visitors within the Museum Premises.
Article 2.3.5
For security reasons, Museum Employees are authorized to request an inspection of a visitor’s bag/luggage.
Article 2.3.6
Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) and the use of any intoxicating substances are strictly prohibited throughout the Museum Premises. Eating and drinking are not allowed inside the museum. Additionally, the use of open flames is strictly forbidden.
Article 2.3.7
Visitors are allowed to enter the MIM exhibition with dogs. The dog’s weight must not exceed 15 kg. All dogs must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle, or be placed in a pet carrier or special pet stroller for the entire duration of the visit. The owner is fully responsible for the dog. Museum Employees have the right to ask a visitor with a dog to leave in case of violation of the Visitor Rules or if there is a suspected risk of conflict between the dog (or its owner) and other visitors. An exception applies to guide dogs accompanying holders of a disability ID (ZTP).
Article 2.3.8
Visitors are responsible for any damage they cause.
Article 2.3.9
Photography and video recording in the exhibition areas are permitted—but only for the visitor’s personal use. When publishing a photograph, the author must always respect the conditions set by applicable legal regulations concerning copyright and personal data protection (in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council – GDPR). By taking photographs or videos within the museum using museum-provided devices, the visitor consents to the transfer of data related to the captured images and videos within the internal network.
2.4 LIABILITY AND FORCE MAJEURE
Article 2.4.1
Visitors enter the Museum Premises at their own risk. MIM is liable for injury to the health or property of a Visitor only if the harm was caused intentionally or through gross negligence on the part of the museum. Compensation for damages will be paid only up to the amount for which the museum is insured, or for which it should reasonably be insured. Any compensation for damages may never exceed the amount of insurance coverage determined by MIM’s insurer. MIM is not liable for indirect damages.
Article 2.4.2
In the event that MIM breaches its legal obligations due to force majeure, MIM shall not be held liable for such breach, and no claims for refunds, damages, or other compensation shall arise as a result.
2.5 GIFT SHOP
Article 2.5.1
Consumers may purchase various goods in the gift shop located within the Museum Premises. Displayed items are sold at the listed price, which includes VAT.
Article 2.5.2
Purchased goods may be exchanged in person at the shop upon presentation of a receipt, within fourteen (14) days of purchase. Returns are only possible in the case of defective goods. The Consumer will then receive the same product without defects. If the product is no longer available, the purchase price will be refunded to the Consumer.
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA AND COOKIE POLICY
Article 3.1
A CCTV system is installed in the museum’s reception area. Video recordings will be stored in accordance with legal regulations and, if necessary, shared with the relevant state authorities.
Article 3.2
The museum reserves the right to take photographs and record videos within the Museum Premises for promotional purposes. Visitors who object to having their likeness captured in such photos or videos may inform MIM, and MIM will then do everything reasonably possible to prevent the publication of the visitor’s image in this way. Article 3.3
To facilitate the use of its website and to create a profile of Consumers’ online behavior, MIM uses cookies. For this purpose, MIM uses a service provided by Google, which may share information with third parties if required by law or to the extent that third parties process information on behalf of Google. The collected data (e.g. IP address, date and time of your visit, your operating system and browser, language settings) will be anonymized, meaning they will not be linked to names, addresses, email addresses, etc. Consumers have the right to request access to their data and to have it corrected or deleted. To do so, please contact us at info@mozartmuseum.cz.
You may also access your browser settings and customize which cookies may be stored on your device, or disable cookie storage entirely. However, please note that doing so may result in some websites, including ours, not functioning properly.
Article 3.4
Consumers can purchase museum tickets on the MIM website. For this purpose, you may be asked to provide personal data such as your name, date of birth, email address, and payment card details. The personal data required for online ticket purchases is collected during the ordering process and stored in a database operated by a third party (Colosseum Ticket). Personal data required for the purchase of virtual tours is collected and used solely for the purpose of concluding a purchase contract and is stored by MIM. All data is fully protected against misuse and is accessible only to a limited number of individuals. Consumers have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal data by submitting a request to that effect. To do so, please contact us at info@mozartmuseum.cz.
Please note that our company does not store or have access to payment card details used during the purchase process. Payment card details are accessible only to the secure payment gateway and the relevant bank.
GOVERNING LAW
These General Terms and Conditions, as well as the activities of MIM, are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
